Tami Stronach and Denisa Musilova co-create the Paper Canoe very early years performances to activate, awaken, and transform spaces, inviting audiences into intimate, imaginative worlds.
Denisa Musilova is a theater maker specializing in immersive early years performance. As a mother and artist, she is dedicated to crafting rich, sensory experiences for young children. Her work is informed by collaborations with internationally acclaimed artists, including her current work with Marina Abramović. Additionally, she is a certified ContaKids teacher (www.contakids.com).
Tami Stronach is a performer, director, choreographer and founder of Tami Stronach Dance and co-founder of Paper Canoe Company. Tami is widely known for her early role as the Childlike Empress in The NeverEnding Story. She was a Teaching Artist for Lincoln Center Education as well as a choreography professor at Marymount Manhattan College for over a decade.
Together, they collaborate with extraordinary interdisciplinary artists, designers, and musicians, bringing a high level of artistic rigor to work created specifically for young audiences.
A tactile, immersive performance exploring the magic of the natural elements. Elementary invites very young audiences (0–3 years) into a world of sensory discovery—where texture, movement, sound, and play guide the experience. Built using simple, accessible, and upcycled materials, the work emphasizes imagination, sustainability, and direct engagement.
