AROUND THE BEND features Stronach's signature blend of movement and physical theater. The work asks us to consider what it means to be in the middle of something: a life, a career, a love triangle, a movement... a creative process. Stronach gives form to the potent emotions of anticipation, regret, and hope that accompany not knowing how something will end. A stellar design team and cast of performers join her in exploring how the past intrudes on the present, how expectations impact unfolding information, and how we can stay open to risk even as we have more to lose. Dance, wine, Bach, and Israeli pop songs from the 1970's collide- bringing pathos and humor to the subject of the hearts unfinished business.
